My name is James Stevens, I am a naturalist and wildlife filmmaker based in the Scottish Highlands. I feel very honoured to have a career where I can be amongst nature and witness incredible things. Hours, days, weeks spent in a hide is by no means laborious. \"You must have so much patience\" I am often told. The truth is, even whilst waiting for the target species to appear, there are often so many other species to look at, as well as tremendous natural landscapes.<\/p>
Even when I'm not filming, I spend as much time as possible out in nature. Searching for the smallest insects through to the biggest cetaceans, the rarest orchids to the oldest trees. As much as I enjoy witnessing nature for myself, I also enjoy showing it to others. Guiding people to show them their first Golden Eagle and seeing the joy it brings them is very special.<\/p>
